TRAINSCAPES is een doorlopende serie foto’s die ik maak vanuit de trein of van spiegelingen in treinruiten. Het is een uitdaging detailopnames van de soms extreem lelijke urbane landschappen die voorbij flitsen een mystiek aura te geven dat als het ware door de lelijkheid heendringt naar een diepere laag. Veel geïndustrialiseerde gebieden en sub-urbs zijn linker hersenhelft-landschappen. Ik probeer ze zo te fotograferen dat de rechter hersenhelft wordt geprikkeld. (wordt binnenkort aangevuld)
English: TRAINSCAPES is an ongoing series of photos I take from the train or of reflections in train windows. It is a challenge to give detailed shots of the sometimes extremely ugly urban landscapes that flash by a mystical aura that seems to penetrate through the ugliness to a deeper layer. Many industrialized areas and suburbs are left-brain landscapes. I try to photograph them in such a way that the right brain is stimulated.

Es un desafío dar a las tomas detalladas de los a veces extremadamente feos paisajes urbanos que pasan rápidamente un aura mística que parece penetrar a través de la fealdad hacia una capa más profunda.
